Humanitarian Service Trip - Rancho de los Ninos
We will be staying at an orphanage in Ejido El Porvenir. Rancho de los Ninos.
We will spend the mornings working, the afternoons playing with the children or serving in the community, and eating meals at the orphanage or in town.
Trip Itinerary
We will meet at the WalMart on Dennery Road in San Diego, CA at 1 pm Pacific time.
This orientation will give us a chance to get to know each other, orient you to crossing the border and providing the address to the orphanage.
The drive is then about 1 hour and 40 minutes to the orphanage. Crossing the border takes only about 10-20 minutes.

For more information about travel restrictions for US citizens, you can read the travel advisories from the US government.
There is currently a travel advisory in Baja California, Mexico but that is for Mexicali, 3 hours east of where we will be located. There is no travel advisory for the area where we will be staying. However, we will still exercise caution and stay together.
You must have a cell phone plan that works in Mexico for your cell phone to work. We ask that at least one person in the vehicle have a working cell phone to navigate and to communicate.
