June 12-20, 2025 – Teen Trip

All-inclusive, teen humanitarian service trip to Rancho de los Ninos orphanage in Ejido El Porvenir and the surrounding community of Guadalupe. Open to youth turning 16-19 in 2025 and limited openings for parents.

The trip will also incorporate the 2025 youth theme from Doctrine & Covenants 6:36, “Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.”

We will include activities that provide:

• Extremely meaningful service opportunities that include work and play.
• Opportunities to learn more about yourself, another culture and way of life, work skills, and the Savior. Learning to look to the Savior – doubt not, fear not – as you experience new things.
• Spiritual & Temporal growth by doing things out of your comfort zone, being in a foreign place, with people you don’t know. And time to reflect on your relationship with the Savior.
• The opportunity to be with like-minded people who you will grow to love.

Activities Included in the Trip:

• Work projects for groups and individuals at the orphanage, at the local homeless shelter, and in the community.
• Activities with the children at the orphanage (Ninos), including lots of soccer (futbol).
• Local food at open-air taquerias and a 5 star restaurant.
• Baptisms at the Tijuana temple. Accommodations for those not able to attend.
• Souvenir shopping in Rosarito (who doesn’t need a Mexican poncho?).
• Visit to the beach in La Mision.
• Excursion with the Ninos (hike, zoo, or pool).
• Sabbath service at the local branch.
• Devotionals and personal study and reflection time.
• Visits with the local missionaries.
• Fiesta at the orphanage (catered Al Pastor meal, pinatas, dance).
• Opportunities to earn tokens while completing Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, and Social tasks (like ordering food on your own, making a new friend, etc…)
• And lots of other opportunities to come closer the the Savior and others.

Notes:

This will be a “distraction free” trip with no cell phones. We will gather phones when the trip starts and return them at the end. Our team will take pictures, post them on a site for parents and families, and have emergency contact numbers.

There are a few additional expenses that participants will need to cover, including passport, insurance, and extras, like souvenirs.
